    There is an error that keeps happening on my website.

    “There was an error when subscribing. Please try again.”

    It happens when I try to enter my own email address and when two other people have tried to subscribe to my website. Any ideas?

    This happens where there are any outstanding pending subscriptions. When someone subscribes, they are sent a confirmation email with an activation link that must be clicked, and to prevent abuse we do not re-send that confirmation email.

    If you visit https://subscribe.wordpress.com/ and enter your email address, you’ll be able to remove any outstanding pending subscriptions there.

    Once that’s done, you should have no trouble subscribing, just don’t forget to click that activation link in the new confirmation email. 😉

    I followed these instructions and am still getting this error.

    Ok, please send us an email at support (at) jetpack (dot) com from the affected email address so we can take a closer look.
