Error: "undefined method CustomSidebars::instance()" when active the plugin

    Hi!

    I updated the last version and to activate the plugin I get this error. I tried to install an earlier version but the error goes well.

    The web server that runs windows server and PLESK.

    PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method CustomSidebars::instance() in ..\wp-content\plugins\custom-sidebars\customsidebars.php on line 62

    Hi @losimo,

    Thanks for posting here! Sorry you’ve had some trouble with that though, I can’t seem to replicate but I’m sure we can get that sorted.

    Could I ask if you’ve got another version of Custom Sidebars loaded somehow, maybe an older version?

    Could you please try ensuring you’ve actually deleted any previous or other version of the plugin?

    Also, could you let us know what version of WordPress and PHP you’re on?

    That could help us narrow the issue down, as this isn’t something I can replicate.

    It might also be easier to simply deactivate all other plugins, switch to Twenty Fourteen and try it with that. That’ll help to know if there’s a plugin/theme conflict there.

    Hi @losimo, thanks for your reply! Have you tried that out as yet?

    I’d love to see how that works for you, possibly just a simple plugin/theme conflict?
