I’m using WordPress 3.4.2 and having this issue on updating the plugin from 1.8.2 to 1.8.3 – The same occurs on deleting and re-installing.

Unpacking the package…

The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

You’ll need to contact your host. There’s something going on with your server. Others that have reported this in the past indicate it could be a storage space issue with your host.
