    Hi there,

I am getting error 500 While trying to create a feed. I click create feed and after about a minute I get the error.

I have around 60,000 products in my WooCommerce store.

    Here are my PHP settings:

    WordPress memory limit: 512 MB
PHP post max size: 50 MB
    PHP time limit: 6000
    PHP max input vars: 1000
    PHP Version: 7.4

I noticed on the “Plugin Systems Check” page that it says:
    “Product feed directory writable: False”

Could this be the reason why it is not working?

I am pretty sure all my permissions are set up properly because I was able to upload this plugin and I can upload files via WordPress.

Where is the Product feed directory and how can I fix this issue?

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. Sorry to hear you are running into a 500 error.

Most likely your website is running in either a timeout or max-size/limit issue. The page it is trying to open is the “field mapping” page, on it you can map (for example) Google’s fields to your attributes. When you have a lot of attributes set (plugins, theme’s, own attributes) this could happen.

So you either need to set your server settings higher or cut back on the amount of attributes.

    All the best,
    Eva

    Thank you!

Based on my PHP settings I posted above, is there anything you would recommend I try changing? As for variations, currently none of the products have variations (I plan to add in the future) and I have ~60k products.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I would try increasing these first
PHP post max size: 50 MB

    Try doubling it.

Hi, I tried changing the post max size to 100mb. It didn’t help.

The only thing that helped was changing the WordPress max memory size to 1GB.

Do I really need that much memory to process 60k products?

There is no easy answer to that. It all depends on the amount of products, the amount of variations per product, the amount of attributes, other server settings and so on.
