• I have recently launched a newly developed website built on Genesis Framework using Exec Pro. I was having problems with the site showing on mobile devices and I was either getting a blank white screen OR the Error 500 Internal Server error message. I checked with my Host provider and StudioPress who confirmed no errors on their end and advised I de-activate all plugins to see if one of them was causing the error.

As such I discovered that Jetpack was causing the error. So I re-activated Jetpack and de-activated all the features, and re-activated one at a time to see which was causing the problem.

Jetpack Mobile Theme was the feature that caused the Error 500. Obviously I have this deactivated for now, but I thought I should contact you to bring this to your attention as I am not sure WHY this feature would cause a conflict.

    The site is http://www.positivefxstudio.co.uk

    thanks

Thanks for the report! Can you please reinstall the Jetpack plugin manually? This will allow us to rule out a corrupt Jetpack installation.

To do so, download the Jetpack plugin here:
    http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.latest-stable.zip

Then, log in to your site via FTP, and delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder. You should then be able to reinstall the plugin manually by following the instructions here:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation

I would strongly recommend that you make a complete backup of your website before trying this.

Please let me know how this works for you, and we can go from there!

Hi, thanks for the response. I have done as you instructed and installed the latest version 3.3.2 but unfortunately I am still getting an Error 500 if I activate the ‘Mobile Theme’ setting.

Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

Thanks for giving that a shot. Could you try temporarily switching to a default theme (like Twenty Fifteen)? Then, see if the issue persists. That way we can confirm or deny if this is a conflict with the Exec Pro theme.
