    Dear,

We have a huge problem with your plugin, when saving settings of Yoast Seo, we have error 404 in the API and category page. We had to rebuild the permalink to make it work.

The problem is that each time we save settings we have to rebuild permalinks, it’s umconfortable.

We have tried many ways on our end to resolve the issue, for example disable WP_CRON, by disabling it, the error will not occur but we can’t disable it as other plugin use this feature.

We have come with this conclusion by evaluation the log, because after the execution of the following CRON : wpseo-reindex, the error appears.

Can you tell me what is the purpose of this cron ? And if it’s possible, could we disable it ?

Kind regards Adam Harmand developper at Shakebiz

    Hello Adam,

Thanks for reaching out. wpseo-reindex removes all existing indexables and then reindexes them. Have you tried resetting the indexables table and migration and then re-running the Yoast SEO data optimization?

    1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations‘, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation‘, and ‘Reset Internal link counter‘ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that the specific reset was successful.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content.

Do let us know how it goes.
