Hi jasmines,
Thanks for posting here and including all this configuration info. It helps.
This is a new one on me. I’m sure if it were a common occurrence, I would have heard about it long ago. I will try to duplicate it on my test systems and have a quick look at the code.
Try entering a game or two using the Manage Games screen. If that is successful, we will know the error is with Add Games, not a larger DB issue of some sort.
What other plugins are installed? In particular, is are the League Manager Addons installed? A common debug step is to deactivate ALL other plugins and try again. If the error goes away, you can re-activate them one by one to find where the collision is happening.
Do you have DEBUG turned on in WordPress. If so, could you have a look at the debug.log file and see what’s there. Otherwise, please turn DEBUG on, try to duplicate the error, and see if it gives us any hints.
Let me know.

Could it be a Multisite related issue?
I can confirm it’s a multisite related issue.
Excellent work. I do not have a multi-site installation. I’ll have to do a little research on any WP “gotcha’s” with multi-site that could relate to this problem, but my first guess would be it’s something in the configuration, not the code because I only use pretty “vanilla” or “standard” WP and PHP calls.
You have not answered any of the questions that I asked you. There are three things I asked you to try. If the problem does not appear on a single site installation, you can focus those questions/answers on the MS site install.
Let me know.

Hi,
we activated debug, but after the described timeout we’re still receiving a blank page, with no errors.
Even in the debug.log file we don’t see any error.
Can you try to replicate in a multi-site instance of WP? We need the plugin to work in a network installation.
Thank you.
Well, that’s interesting. It’s good there are no errors, but unfortunately that doesn’t help with your problem. Sorry, I don’t have the time to create an MS install for testing for just this problem. But I will continue to peck around for a hint as to the problem. I have a couple of ideas, but right now I have no solid idea as to what it might be.

We can pay your time if you want to investigate. Moreover, if we manage to make your plugin work in a MS environment, we’ll buy all your premium addons.
Feel free to contact me privately (jasmines@email.it) if interested.
Sportpress is the one to blame.
