    since updating to WP 7.04 I have not been able to use the editor on any pages or posts. The page just flashes and then crashes, returning to the dashboard.

    What editor are you using? Looking at your website, it could be the classic editor, but it might also be the Block Editor.

    I see. Is it true that when you access the edit URL, you’re automatically redirected back to the dashboard? That’s highly unusual behavior – I don’t think it’s caused by WordPress. Try deactivating all your plugins to see if that fixes the issue.

    It’s the classic editor.

    If I access any means of editing in wp-admin (other than quick edit) the page flashes and then goes back to the dashboard. There is some error code – is it appropriate to post it here?

    I have tried deactivating plug-ins but not all – can try this again

    It was some sort of weird interaction between WP 7.0, Kadence and a combination of other plug-ins.
