Edit/Customize front end search form page

I have two questions.

1) Is is possible to edit the front end search form page;
http://erc.cals.wisc.edu/cptpmedia/mediacat-library

to include the verbiage from this page;
http://erc.cals.wisc.edu/cptpmedia/image-library/

2) Can I change to columns that are currently there
FILE CATEGORY CAPTION DATE
to just FILE and CAPTION?
