Duplicate GA4 purchase

    Hello, i’m currently working for a customer who owns an e-commerce.

    I’m setting up facebook pixel, ga4, gads tracking, i do this every day since 2 years, but on this case something is wrong.

    purchases is duplicated, even is i set it to trigger tag once by page.

    In GTM preview, i see first event purchase got the tag triggered, the 2 next don’t trigger anything, but in GA4 and facebook it receive it 3 time (or more).

    I use dataslayer too visualise DLV, on GA4 column i see this:

    In GTM preview i see “gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC”, only once, so i know that i can use it to resolve my issue, but i would prefer to understand and find a proper solution for the event “purchase”.

    I’m trying to see with my customer if there is anything else on the website who could create issue with GTM4wp.

    Here more informations about everything i tried:

    i tried another extension than gtm4wp, same situation purchase is duplicated

    i tried to change GA4 account, to see if there was an issue with settings, no change

    I tried to set up my trigger on “gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC” instead of “purchase” on an a custom event called “purchase test” in my tag, event purchase is still sent even if there are no tags for this anymore on my gtm

    if gtm isn’t installed on website, no datalayer, so no event sent.

    If GTM is setup on website, no matter what, between 3 and 6 event purchase will be sent automatically.

    i checked all plugins on wordpress, and desactivate few to see, no changes…

    I have been setting up tracking sinces 3 years now, i never got this situation, i tried everything i could think about.
