Hi Derrick,
With 60.000+ active installs, simply replacing a library with so many changes is unfortunately not an option. A large update is scheduled for later this spring and I will include DOMPDF 0.7.0.
That said, I’m not aware of any ‘nasty coding’ in DOMPDF 0.6. Moreover, a ‘false positive’ is not an issue of the plugin itself but from the phpcompat plugin. ‘false positive’ simply means that phpcompat sees something as an issue that is in fact not.
