• I assumed the SumoMe List Builder would be a snap to get going.

But test subscriptions weren’t getting picked up by AWeber. SumoMe tested and said everything looks fine except for that, AWeber tested and said code is correct so he can’t see why it’s not working. I tested many times on different machines and browsers—but nothing can make it work.

I’m on Thesis with the Promo skin—nothing all that crazy. I spent hours and hours on this. What a waste of time. SumoMe support was, as another reviewer said, condescending. One guy was great and apologized that they couldn’t figure out the problem, but another’s snark or cluelessness is what I remember. He blamed the trouble on AWeber and offered me “a discount” for “next time.” A discount for a product that doesn’t work? Somehow he didn’t seem in touch with the reality of the situation. What “next time?” I don’t need a discount; I’m willing to pay well for a nice pop-up and good support. But I ended my free trial before paying anything (the purpose of a free trial, right?).

Big disappointment and a lot of irritation and wasted time.
