• The plugin doesn’t work and disables features in other plugins while it’s “syncing.”

We have a fairly large database (~6,000 products). Part of the setup for this plugin is to sync with your WooCommerce database, but it gets stuck mid-way. Even worse, during syncing it’s impossible to deactivate the plugin or adjust settings on other unrelated plugins. (For example, we have Yoast SEO installed and I am unable to save any settings in that plugin while Mailchimp for WooCommerce is syncing.) Everything is just frozen. I have had to restore a backup of our entire website via our host to stop the syncing and delete it.

I took a chance of installing this, after reading other poor reviews, and it has cost me a couple hours of time. Do yourself a favor and do not install it.

Hi @jeffjimerson, I came across your review; I’m really sorry to hear you’re having problems with the plugin and we definitely want to try to help out. At first glance, it sounds like there’s something probably going on with your hosting environment. If you have time, would you care to provide a few more pieces of information to help us understand the issue?

    – What plugin version were you trying to use?
    – Who is your hosting provider and can you check to see if they block access to the admin-ajax.php file for any reason?
    – Are you on a shared hosting plan?
    – If you’re using SiteGround, can you check to see if you’ve hit your daily CPU limit after initiating the sync?
    – What PHP version are you using and what is the memory limit is set to?
    – Is there any logging errors in the plugin’s logs tab (when it’s set to standard or debug)?
    – Do you have any caching plugins or services running?
    – Have you tried a fresh uninstall or reinstall?

Thanks in advance for these details. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

    p.s.
As a side note, I personally run this plugin on a production site with a little over 6K products as well, it runs flawlessly and is hosted on WPEngine.
