On my test site, I tried a longer title and it wraps down to next line perfectly well. So it is most likely some CSS in your theme (possible an overflow: none) that is hiding the extra text or preventing it dropping a line. If you could send a link, I could find it for you in the element inspector, but seeing as it is private you will have to go through it yourself and find the offending code.
