My dashboard is broken. What’s going on? Anybody seen this or know how to fix it

Try:
– switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
– re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of your current version of WordPress.
That is exactly what i’m trying do but am having many troubles
Now my dashboard is messed up and I have given up hope. I really want to get this going again.. But I am completely clueless as to what to do to reset The dashboard so it doesn’t have lines across it and nothing you can click on.

Hi insigniaradio did you follow @esmi suggestion? If you upload the file as per esmi suggestion that will repair any corrupted wordpress files.
Also you might want to check your wp-config.php file and edit the line
define('WP_DEBUG', false); <<-- make sure it is set to false.
Setting it to false will remove all the error messages you see displayed now.
However if you need to check for errors then always set this file to true until you have repaired the errors, then set it back to false.
