Blubrry PowerPress 4.0 Released May 12, 2012
Blubrry PowerPress 4.0 brings the latest essential features for media creation to WordPress, including the hottest updates to the new iTunes…I installed the power press and was looking at the video on how to post a podcast and a few hours later when I looked at it it was completely deleted. Seriously… out of nowhere. All my comments, content and everything else is now gone. Like a block hole very frustrated right now!
Go look at it.

Hi have you got a backup?
I have done something similar. I was editing one text box in the widgets and the formatting of my webpage was disrupted. Now I have one long column instead of three columns. How do I get back to whatever I had before?
KMcG your issue is nothing like the issue insignia radio posted & does not help with addressing that. Please start a separate topic.
insignia radio have the posts comments etc disappeared just from the front end or are they missing when you look in the admin area as well?
You got it. All of the comments, pages and everything else isn’t on there. I’m really hoping I can get all the content back. Especially all the comments that my friends and people have made. I’m asking members advice and those comments are an important part of it. This is a podcast for electronic dance music scene in the Pacific Northwest.
A tight niche crowd that I’m trying to hook some friends up which music. I do have it backed up on FTP but I have no idea on how to get it off there and put it back on. That was a backup from a while ago. So there will be comments that are missing. No Bueno.
Any help will do. on
The backup is on something called firezilla. My old web designer built this thing from the ground up and then quit on me. Deleted me on facebook and will not talk to me. He did give me all the credentials and Loggins though.
I am absolutely clueless as to how to run this website. I’m a sales and marketing guy. Not too good at website design.
Hello do you know if you have a database backup? Not the full backup just a database backup? Do you know how to access your website through your host?
Your answer to my question was ambiguous – if the posts/pages/comments etc are still listed in the admin area the first thing to try is to deactivate the plugin you installed before the issue appeared.
if not you probably have a database problem
there are two types of backup needed for WordPress
1 – files
2 – MySQL databaseFileZilla is an FTP app which can be used to transfer files from your computer to your website.. This can be used to backup your WordPress files.
The database which is where all posts, pages comments and settings are stored will not be backed up by FTP, so a database backup in the form of a MySQL dump should also be taken. If you do not have a recent backup of your database, ask your hosting company if they have one – specify that it would need to be from a date previous to when you know the site was OK.
If pages/posts/comments etc are not appearing in the admin area it is possible that the database may have some corruption. Your hosting company may be able to help you with this or a repair can be attempted by temporarily adding the line
define('WP_ALLOW_REPAIR', true);to the wp-config.php and running the /wp-admin/maint/repair.php script
see – http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Automatic_Database_Optimizing
If that does not fit it, restoring the database backup may be necessary
http://codex.wordpress.org/Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backupthat is all completely green to me.
Hi insigniaradio, it sounds like you are having trouble understanding what we suggest.
How can we help you? What would be the best procedure to assist you?
I am on the line with my hosting account right now but through their services there is not much they can do from there end. They said we need to upload everything from my FTP site. My designer use something called firezilla.I tried to download it and I’ve been playing around for a while now with no success.
Basically I would love to give somebody the credentials so they can upload it for me. Does anybody know how to use an FTP site uploader?
I’m sure lots of people do but, unless you want to try hiring someone, you’ll need to carry this out yourself. Try asking your hosts if they have a file management application that you can use as part of your hosting account.
Does your Host have a recent backup of your website? Can you log into your Host account? Do they have Cpanel or somthing similar?
I would love to but I’m a brokest handicapped guy in the world.
here is what Go Daddy responded.
