I’m sorry where did you get this template from? It doesn’t look it’s part of the Decode Theme.
its a free theme but i find this template within the theme is there anyway i can read this?
Wait, which file has this code: http://themes.svn.wordpress.org/decode/2.9.3/ ?
its template.php within my theme not any of the files mentioned on the page-link
when i disable the comment with // theme falls apart
Okay, this should help: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-decrypt-an-encoded-theme
Are you using the Decode theme or some other theme? Where did you download this theme from?
not sure thought it was templatelite
btw andrew i tried all of those but not any can decode it for some strange reason
i downloaded the theme and found this file when i was translating it..
in functions.php also in my theme dir there a line include(TEMPLATEPATH.’/template.php’);
but when i remove it the closing tags of some parts are in this file and the theme falls apart, so if someone can decode it, it would be nice πIf you downloaded the theme from WordPress.org then it seems as though you’ve been hacked :s
no its not a hack.. because its only in this theme no where else
But you need to think about how the code got there in the first place; someone had access to your website’s files.
some of the theme credits are also part of it.. i don’t mind keeping the credits..but i want to see what that file is doing besides the credit links and the closing tags..
I don’t think you’re using the same theme as the one you’ve created this support thread in. It may be the same name, but the Decode theme doesn’t obscure its credits in the footer.php file: http://themes.svn.wordpress.org/decode/2.9.3/footer.php
It sounds like you’re using a theme from a vendor like FThemes? They’re a known dubious vendor that obscure code in the footer file using these types of techniques, and they license their themes so that under that license you cannot edit the footer.
