Support » Plugin: Site Kit by Google » Data not refreshing

  • Hello,

    On Google search console I have new data for my site, but the search console in the plugin doesn’t have that data. Is it occurring cause of caching plugins, or it takes some time to refresh and fetch the data? Third party plugins have the new data.

    Hi @developit! Could you try resetting Site Kit and let me know if the data updates accordingly?

    To Reset to go Site Kit > Settings > Admin Settings > Reset Site Kit)

    @reneesoffice I tried to do that but nothing happened. And now, the plugin was reset by itself. I guess it has something to do with caching plugins and the ModSecurity on the hosting level. But I don’t want to disable any of these. What else can I do?

    In terms of caching and security measures, usually these can affect the process during initial setup, so a troubleshooting step would be to temporarily disable these at that time. However, it sounds like you were able to successfully go through that initial process?

    For the data not refreshing on the dashboard could you try:

    1) Resetting Site Kit again, but this time in an incognito browser
    2) If the issue persists, could you share a screenshot of any errors in the browser tools console

    @reneesoffice I did some experiments and I found out that it was ModSecurity that is making the plugin not working. Until you find a way to bypass that bug the issue is resolved. Thank you for your time.

    @developit just sending a follow up message that we’ve made a lot of improvements to Site Kit including resolving issues with ModSecurity in most cases. If you’d like to try the latest version and follow up with us about your experience that would be great.
