Dashboard showing error

Woocommerce is unable to show the dashboard and it only shows the message: “There was an error retrieving your inbox. Try again.” – it shows a big purple triangle with an exclamation mark too.

I also have an issue with the mobile app telling me to update to version 3.5, while we’re on version 6.3.1.

Thanks for sharing the System Status Report already.

The error you are seeing has been found to be caused mostly due to security plugins.

Can you please disable the following and check if that helps?

Hi, thank you for your reply.
I disabled the plugins, but the error is still showing.

I also found this:

Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.DOMAIN.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-admin’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure XMLHttpRequest endpoint ‘http://DOMAIN.com/wp-json/jetpack/v4/jitm/?message_path=wp%3Awoocommerce_page_wc-admin%3Aadmin_notices&query=page%253Dwc-admin&full_jp_logo_exists=false&_wpnonce=ba7b20fea9’. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

Maybe this could be something?

UPDATE: I tried to disable jetpack to see if that made any difference, but unfortunately it did not.

Hello,

Thanks for writing back!

I disabled the plugins, but the error is still showing (…) I tried to disable jetpack to see if that made any difference, but unfortunately it did not

If you don’t have a staging site, I would suggest you create one with WP Staging for further testing.

Then, in the staging site:
- set your theme to Storefront
- disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
- check if the behavior persists
- if the error is gone, reactivate and test with each plugin until you find the culprit
Let us know how it goes!

After just cloning the site it instantly worked… didn’t change a thing.
So it works on the clone, but not on the productions site… All plugins are the same, all settings are the same, theme is the same… only the http request error does not show up on the stage site.

Could that be it?

Okay, so for some reason my user account (admin role) cannot open the dashboards. The second admin account is able to open the dashboards, which in my opinion is not logical… but ok.
