• Hey there !
First, I’m sorry but I can’t provide a link to the page I need help with since the website is offline for now.

    Here’s my problem :
I’d like to display specific posts and pages on the home page, while it seems it just shows last posts.
Trying to fix that (and for other reasons), I tried to re-create the homepage in order to set my copy of it as homepage, and then organize it as I want. BUT I couldn’t find any way to re-create that element : https://i.imgur.com/qWElRKx.png
The problem is that we chose this theme mainly because we loved that element, and to be honest if I have to write the whole code myself to re-create this element, I hope you understand that I don’t really have an interest left in that theme haha.

Hope there’s a way to take control over that homepage, thanks in advance for helping!

    Thanks for using Tracks!

The solution depends on which posts you want to choose to display, but most likely, this plugin will work well: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-category-excluder/. It will let you choose which categories you want to include on the homepage.

Otherwise, this plugin could be useful since it lets you hide specific posts from the homepage: https://wordpress.org/plugins/whp-hide-posts/

There isn’t a good method for including both posts and pages in a single feed right now.

    Thanks for that quick answer!
    I’ll check that then.

So there’s no simple way to recreate the element I shown you on a custom page? We can only have it on the homepage (which we can’t edit)?
If that’s the case, consider allowing us to create that element as simply as all the other elements on a page, because it’s a very good one and it’s a lame we can’t create it ourselves haha

But anyways, good job with that theme !

Tracks was originally developed in 2014 so a lot of these ideas about elements and page building weren’t a thing yet. You could recreate it but with a manual process of replicating the HTML and CSS rather than dropping in a reusable element. Otherwise, the posts are only laid out like that on the blog page and other archive pages (date, category, tag, and author archives).
