Content Restriction not enforced

Subject: Content Restriction not enforced on Kadence “Hooked Elements” (custom post type)

Description:

I’m using Paid Member Subscriptions alongside the Kadence theme’s “Hooked Elements” feature (custom post type kadence_element). These hooked elements are used to inject additional content blocks into single posts of a custom post type (e.g., a “Brief” post), assigned via conditional display rules rather than being placed inside the post’s main content editor.

Each hooked element has its own Content Restriction meta box (added by PMS), and I’ve configured restriction on one — “THE BRIEF: THE DOSSIER” (post ID 27556) — checking specific subscription plans under “Display For.”

I’ve confirmed:

• The restriction settings are saved correctly (verified after a full page reload).
• Site cache has been cleared (using SpeedyCache), ruling out stale cached output.
• When testing fully logged out, the hooked element’s content still displays in full on the live page (e.g., https://cocotran.com/brief/paris-the-dossier/), even though it should be restricted to specific subscription plans.

It seems like the restriction check isn’t being applied to content rendered through Kadence’s hook system, possibly because it doesn’t pass through the same the_content filter that PMS uses elsewhere to enforce restrictions.

Question: Is there a known compatibility issue or workaround for enforcing Paid Member Subscriptions restrictions on content injected via Kadence’s “Hooked Elements,” since the standard per-post restriction settings don’t appear to take effect for this content type?
