• I had a working facebook connection to my facebook page. I disconnected it from my site’s “Sharing” settings to connect it to my personal account instead. I tried multiple times with no success, I simply got a blank page with a long URL. Then I logged in to my WordPress.com account and was able to connect to my facebook account. I am reporting it although I have solve my problem in a roundabout way just in case something may need attention and as a workaround for others who may have the same problem.

Jeremy, I still cannot connect to facebook from my site, I get the long URL and the white page. I will try the others, but here is the long URL once more:

Tumblr and Google+ cannot connect either. I am going to make the connections from WordPress.com I think. Unless there is anything you would like to see on my site with no connection.

    Please let me know.

Hi acekin, it seems like we’re having the exact same problem.
A day ago, only my Facebook connection didn’t work. I tested again just now, and it seems like nothing works now.

That’s annoying. Sorry about all that! We’ve just made some changes on our end, that may solve that problem for you. Could you give it another try now?

@yeguoji Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

    Thanks!

Hello again Jeremy, I was able to connect to all the services except Path, which I don’t use. Twitter took two tries but worked. Then I published a test post and it appeared on all the connections. I think your magic work behind the scenes fixed the problem. I can now connect to the social media from my site and the published posts go to their destination. Thank you.

Hi Jeremy, I managed to connect again. As @acekin mentioned, seems like your magic fixed everything.

    Thanks a lot Jeremy!

Jeremy, I started having the same problem again. My Facebook share does not work, I cannot even create a connection or edit the existing one from my site again. That and also Google+ posts my new shares so only I can see them. I need to go and share them manually. Twitter is working OK, but Tumblr creates two images, probably the featured image as well as the lead image at the top of the post.

When I use the Facebook sharing debugger, I get errors reported and if I scrape again, I get the right presentation but the errors remain. I have not changed any of my sharing settings since the last time I posted here.

Do you get specific errors when you try to reset your connection?

Could you try to do so from this page instead:
    http://wordpress.com/sharing

You’ll also want to remove the WordPress app from your Facebook settings here:
    https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications

Google+ posts my new shares so only I can see them.

Google+ changed the way third-party apps could interact with your Profile and Page a few weeks ago, and we made some changes to Publicize in return; could you try to follow the instructions here to reset your Google+ connection?
    https://jetpack.com/support/publicize/google/#reconnecting-google

Once you do so your posts should be public.

When I use the Facebook sharing debugger, I get errors reported

Could you let me know what errors you see there, immediately after the post has been published?

    Thanks!

Thanks for looking into this Jeremy, here are the answers to your questions:

When I try to reconnect to Facebook from my site, I get a blank page like before with a long URL. Then I connected with the wordpress.com/sharing, it connected but the post did not go to Facebook. I added it manually. I had not removed WordPress from Facebook. I followed the removal of WP and adding FB from my site, the same long URL with many “gibberish” codes and a blank screen did not go anywhere. I connected using the WordPress.com and I seem to be connected. Do you want to see that long URL? If so, is it safe to post here?

I also followed the instructions on Google+ and will report after my next post. Why am I losing my FB connection and ability to connect from my own site? My ISP recently upgraded their cPanel, could that have thrown it off?

    Thanks again,

    Cemal

It would help, yes, but it’s best not to post it here. Could you contact us via this contact form instead?

@jeherve, I have sent the long URL as a support ticket from the link you provided.

After I made the contact from WordPress.com to Facebook and Google+ they are now appearing and appearing as visible to Public. However, I still cannot make the connection to Facebook directly from my blog. Although I have not changed the tumblr.com connection, the double image problem seems to be gone, maybe you and your team have changed some code behind the curtains!

I am still not sure whether this or a similar issue will emerge with the connections. Keeping my fingers crossed!

    Thank you for your help,

    Cemal

I’ve been experiencing the same problem for a while. What data do you need to investigate?
