Sorry to hear about the issues. What seems to be the problem? Please elaborate more on what’s exactly happening and when. eg. JS issues, white screen, tooltips not being rendered, terms not highlighted etc.

If you try to enter in the Theme Settings in the Customizer you will find that you are timed out. If you deactivate the Tooltip plugin, on the contrary, the issue disappears.

It’s very unusual kind of error, and unfortunately not related to the plugin’s main purpose/functions so it’s impossible to understand the reason of such issue without checking/understanding the code.
Since the theme is a paid one it’s much harder to check the issues on our side and the authors should be able to provide support in case of conflicts.
From our side we can promise that we’ll do what we can to fix the issues that can be found on our side or if it’s for instance a function name conflict. Also if the theme support will not be able to help you please let us know.
Just a friendly note to say that we at StudioPress tested the News Pro theme with CM Tooltip Glossary, and the Customizer is working for us on pages that use tooltips:

I replied to our support ticket with @hiiab offering some suggestions (disabling browser extensions such as Dashlane, temporarily removing custom scripts such as the MailChimp newsletter script in use on the site, disabling other plugins, and checking the console for JavaScript errors on the broken Customizer page). You’re very welcome to follow up by email there, hiiab.
It turned out to be the Dashlane browser extension.
Disabling that allowed the Customizer to load.
