Conflict with Betheme

    I have discovered a compatibility issue between MapPress and Betheme 28.5.10. MapPress’s admin notice JavaScript (mapp_dismiss / mapp_review_snooze) is displayed as plain text in WordPress admin instead of being executed. The same issue also occurs with an unrelated plugin (Bitron Right of Withdrawal), which makes me suspect a change in Betheme 28.5.10 affecting the output of admin notice scripts.

    UPDATE: I deactivated all other plugins except these two and then activated them one-by-one, and the issue dissapeared. I really don’t understand what happened…

    Hi,

    What you’re seeing is a small script that MapPress uses on the admin screen to allow you to dismiss its admin notice messages.

    It looks like another plugin has interfered with that script (and Bitron’s), and changed it from one that runs in the browser to plain text that’s displayed on the screen. That’s why switching themes didn’t change anything.

    Deactivating/reactivate plugins changes the order in which they load, which can temporarily fix the problem, but it may come back again as you make updates.

    I’ve updated MapPress to prevent this kind of conflict in the next release (2.98), but it may still affect other plugins.
