Compatibility problem between WPML and dynamic pricing
-
Our client has a website with one language only (English) and 3 currencies: pounds, euros and dollars. People cannot choose which currency they see prices in, it’s decided based on their country in their profile. Indeed they have to register and login to see prices and place orders. We don’t handle payment through woo commerce, they have another system for that.
If someone orders 5 to 9 products they get a 5% discount, if they order 10 products or more, they get a 10% discount. In both cases, it’s based on the total order, it doesn’t matter which products. We use the Advanced category pricing tab under the Category tab.
Before we had programmed that prices we set in one currency and shown in the other two thanks to an exchange rate. And we haven’t succeeded to make it work since we installed WPML.
Without a discount (eg 2 products), the shop shows the right currency and the right amount. When you reach the discount levels, it still shows the right currency but it then takes the base-currency prices/amounts (GBP) before applying the discount.
You can test it on our test site http://biosilta.com.lab.mediastrategi.se/
We have removed the dynamic pricing settings on our live site (biosilta.com) until we can make it work.
