The Facebook Comments Box social plugin displays existing comments submitted through the box and changes the display of all its comments based on the social context for the currently logged in Facebook viewer. You’ll see comments from your friends before comments from strangers, or comments with the most likes may appear above comments. This comment display is very different from WordPress and its default server-side comments display based on the time the comment was submitted.
The Facebook plugin for WordPress displays any existing approved WordPress comments for the post to prevent the loss of past community interactions but all new solicitations for comments happen through the Comments Box social plugin. Otherwise you would have two forms asking for comments.
