• I really like the concept of your plugin. I like that RFQs can be edited for everything, including tax and shipping.

I am not sure if the plugin will do what I am looking for, but I thought I would ask. Perhaps you can let me know if I have just done something wrong, or if what I am asking for is not possible.

In summary, we would like products to be purchased directly (retail customers) OR for them to request a quote on the entire cart.

This is because the pricing is not easy to be set by rules, e.g., quantity ordered, location, user role, etc. and we also do not want to it based on roles. We want the most flexibility to deal with all offers as they come in, based on many variables.

For some background… It is a new brand of sports clothing that is being sold to individuals, but also sports teams, and wholesale.

The use case scenario is that online retail customers will purchase directly with standard pricing, tax, shipping and checkout. For sports teams, wholesale or important people or groups that might impact the growth of the brand, we want to be able to modify the pricing, tax and shipping based on their RFQ.

It would be fantastic if we could do this. Any thoughts on how I can use this plugin in this way?

    Hi,
What you are requesting is in our features to-do list. Unfortunately we have not implemented it yet. But soon..:)

Currently the checkout option includes “RFQ” or “normal checkout”. In the upgraded version there is a third option “both”. There is also an additional setting that could limit the “both” option to certain roles(for people who want to limit the “both” option) or allow it for everyone. Basically at checkout, customers would be able to either pay or submit an RFQ.

Our additional feature beyond that includes the ability to submit an offer for the entire cart that would be included in the RFQ.

Another feature that might be of interest is that in the future the products that use a Ninja form for quote request (without adding them to the cart) would create a separate RFQ while the customer checks out with the rest of the items in the cart. That way customer is not limited to all/nothing choice(To pay or ask for a quote).

    Hope this helps šŸ™‚

I should have titled this Proceed to Checkout OR Proceed to Request a Quote.

Understood. “Both” option would allow the customer to choose one or the other.

What is the upgraded version for a third option “both”? I tried to go to your website and download the “pro” version without success. http://www.gplsaver.com/product/woo-rfq-pro-for-woocommerce/

I still only have the options of RFQ OR Normal Checkout

Sorry, I drank too much wine tonight and need RFQ AND Normal Checkout

No need to be sorry. Wine is always a good idea. But as I mentioned “What you are requesting is in our features to-do list. Unfortunately we have not implemented it yet. But soon..:)”. We are actually working on the very features.

Stay tuned we will have this out very soon. We are in active development as you can see in our activity log on wordpress.org.

I will not close this ticket and will notify you through this thread.:)

Do you have a github site. I’d be happy to do testing on a test server. We are also multilingual (WPML). I have not begun to test that part and hope you are wrapping in GetText calls. I also have some qTranslate sites I can test on.

Just in case you are interested, there is another plugin in the opposite direction for customers to make offers that I think is done quite well. Maybe some of their concepts might help https://wordpress.org/plugins/offers-for-woocommerce/

Thanks I will look at it for sure. As i mentioned before “Our additional feature … includes the ability to submit an offer for the entire cart that would be included in the RFQ.” this plugin also will allow the customer to submit an offer along with the request for quote. Sort of negotiating. We are still sorting things out with our site. We will not have a github. but we will have automatic updates for our pro version which will include more features than the repo. And as our thanks for your testing/suggestions and your wine tasting you will have life time free updates.:)
And yes , we do have to implement translation files, but we want to make sure it works first!

    try 1.4.2 on wordpress.org

    Thread Starter elarson

    (@elarson)

    I’ve updated to 1.4.5.

I am not seeing the Woocommerce -> Settings -> Checkout -> Quote Request as shown in the checkout.png in the screenshots. Am I missing something? I have the following set under Woocommerce -> Settings -> Woo-RFQ:

Always Show Prices With RFQ Chekout Checked
Show Prices with normal Checkout Checked
    Hide Prices from visitors Unchecked
    Show Shipping Options Checked
    Allow Coupon Entry Checked
    Show Applied Coupons Checked
    Checkout Option Normal Checkout

    (@gplsaver)

IF you had an RFQ checkout then you would see it. in your case then your need to check rfq-enable in the product set up for each product ( i should add a global setting for this) and then you have two carts. one for regular checkout and one for rfq. you can checkout with one and rfq with the other. documentation is lagging behind development.

you don’t need to enable the ninj form, just rfq enable the product and keep the other setting as is.

I am still not seeing the Woocommerce -> Settings -> Checkout -> Quote Request, even after setting a couple of products for Enable RFQ. I’m seeing that on the products that I have Enable RFQ it does show Request Quote, but not also Add to Cart.

I don’t want inquiry forms per product with Ninja forms, and just want them to have the option to Request a quote like when the Checkout Option is set to RFQ for all items that they have selected a RFQ for. Currently, we want all items in the shop to have both standard cart checkout and RFQ, but in future that may change and some items might only be RFQ and others Add to Cart.

If you wouldn’t mind, could you take a look at the site. I am sending you an e-mail with the login information.

    Many thanks.

” even after setting a couple of products for Enable RFQ. I’m seeing that on the products that I have Enable RFQ it does show Request Quote, but not also Add to Cart. “

That is the problem. since you checked “Show Prices with normal Checkout Checked” then price should show and you should be able see the price and have the add to cart which is the whole point of having that option..My bad…
I will fix this shortly and upload new upgrade here.
