Changing WP username doesn't update media links

    I am using the folder structure of /%current_user%/…..I tried deleting an admin user and migrating all content to a new admin user but the user folder in the uploads directory didn’t change. Is there a possibility to change media links to reference the new path when one changes a username?

    No. Custom Upload Dir will never touch a file on disk. It will never delete, move or rename anything that already exists. That’s a huge can-of-worms to open, not least because it would invalidate all previous links to the file.
