When I go to change the page, I get an error message.
I’ve tried adding /blog
and tried adding a page I know exists.
Not sure what’s wrong.
I can’t upload a page; to show you the graphics, but my reading page does not give me the option on the top of the sample page (Codex) to pick from using the blog or page as the home page.

If you are using any plugin then detective plugin one by one and check.
Also, check you are login as an admin?

Yes I am logged in as administrator.

If you switch to the default theme (Twenty Sixteen or Twenty Twenty Fifteen) does the issue persist?
and also check you create any page and post.
