Make sure you don’t have any other plugins or themes activated which offer a front-end registration system which might conflict with Profile Builder. For example we’re aware of some conflicts between Profile Builder and Theme My Login.
For troubleshooting I would suggest to deactivate the extra plugins one by one and see if the issue still persists, and maybe which one is causing it.
I’m having the same issue, I have no other plug-ins related to any signing up or log in forms etc etc
the log-in form on submission just redirects to the log-in page and doesn;t sign in
have resolved, it was due to my editing the log-in form to remove the lost password link that links to the back end type of password form rather than the password form for the front end…
