I installed Jetpack and now I can’t get to my dashboard.

I created the wordpress.com account and it shows that my site is active there but no pages, or posts show up.

When I go to my site and click on the dashboard on the black bar I get the following error message.

    ————–
    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I just want to go back to my website. I’ve spent about 2 months on it and I was about to announce to the public. I was setting up Jetpack to link my twitter and Facebook pages but now I can’t add, edit or do anything. I really need help figuring out what I can do to get back to my admin section.

If that means deleting Jetpack (can’t because I can’t get to Plugins) then I will do so.

    Please help I’m really stressed.

    Jetpack Mechanic 🚀

Could you try to log in to your site via FTP or CPanel, and delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder, and reinstall the plugin manually as explained here:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation

You’ll find the Jetpack plugin folder here:

    wp-content
       plugins
         jetpack - DELETE THIS FOLDER

If you’re not sure how to do this, you can ask your hosting company for help. They should also have documentation explaining how to edit or remove files from your site using FTP or a File Manager in your admin panel.

If you still get an error when trying to access your dashboard, try increasing the memory allocated to PHP on your site, as explained here:
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

If that doesn’t help either, I’d recommend contacting your hosting provider and asking them to take a look at your server error logs to find out more about the problem. Until they reply, you can follow the instructions I posted above to remove the Jetpack plugin again.

Let me know how it goes.

I’ve deleted the folder as you suggested. I can get back into my dashboard.

I’ll figure out why it messed up at another time.

Thank you for your suggestion and help. I’m new to WordPress. I love it so far (except for the frustration with this issue)

    Just updating like you suggested.

I contacted my provider and they doubled it from 64 to 120 and now it is working.

Thank you so much for your advice and taking the time to help me.
