Canonical URL’s
-
Hi, we use Yoast on multiple of our websites and occasionally we’ll see the value of the canonical url field for a post set to a value such as https://prepsoccer.com/?p=77647
Rather than the full url slug such as https://prepsoccer.com/2023/01/the-best-uncommitted-talent-on-the-ecnl-fl-nsg-roster/, it is set with the url and a parameter of the post id seen above.
Is there a way to prevent that from happening? We have a 3rd party data analytics tool that integrates to our site and we’re seeing some issues with the data as a result of it not being able to properly index the post url when the canonical url value contains the post id as a parameter.
Thanks!
Travis
