• Hi there
    When I try to update any plugin or theme, or delete them I receive the following message: Deletion failed: Internal Server Error
    When I try to update wordpress to the newest version I receive this:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method WP_Error::has_errors() in /nhldata/269/191269/data/web/web01/htdocs/wp-admin/includes/file.php:1504 Stack trace: #0 /nhldata/269/191269/data/web/web01/htdocs/wp-admin/update-core.php(501): WP_Filesystem(true, ‘/nhldata/269/19…’, false) #1 /nhldata/269/191269/data/web/web01/htdocs/wp-admin/update-core.php(711): do_core_upgrade(false) #2 {main} thrown in /nhldata/269/191269/data/web/web01/htdocs/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 1504

    I tried to deactivate all plugins but that doesn’t help. My website runs normally but I just cannot install, update or delete plugins or update wordpress. I searched for a solution but couldn’t find anything related to that.

    Thanks a lot for your help, very appreciated!

    Please install the health check plugin and report back its findings: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/

    You may have to install this via FTP by downloading, unzipping, and uploading the resulting directory to wp-content/plugins

    Hi Steven

    Thanks for your answer. I red that many people had problems with the health check plugin… Not certain if I should install it.

    Could the problem also appear because some plugins are not running on wordpress 5?
    I have some that I downloaded directly on the developers website…
    Thanks

    I would not have recommended it if there were problems.

    good luck with that.

    Now, please use the health check plugin and show the output from the debug tab.
