You wouldn’t be able to activate your Child Theme in the dashboard if the style.css file was wrong. What files do you have in your Child Theme folder?

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your interest to help. I am in a class and my instructor just tried to replicate my problem. She installed Hathor theme, created a child theme and was able to activate and use the child theme. She recommended that I re-install Hathor theme, then create the child theme again. I will update this thread later on what happens. Thanks, gtb
Hi Imon,
I am having the same problem with a child theme. Whether I create the child theme by hand or use the Orbisius child theme creator, the website front page just shows a white screen.
MAMP Server
WP 4.0
Hathor 1.5
Tested the style.css file by plugging in several different parent themes, and they all worked. Everything but Hathor.
Thank you for the amazing theme and all the support!
Hi,
Did you switch to the newly created theme?

I have the same issue with the hathor theme. Created a child using 2 different plugins (including Orbisius Child Theme Creator)and ftp.
Looks like hathor is a poorly developed theme…
After create a child theme with
https://wordpress.org/plugins/orbisius-child-theme-creator/
active child theme and go to theme option => click save option
