I use this on MU sites without a problem. The only other thing I can think of is that there must be a plugin conflict of some kind. That was the problem in this thread: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/authorisation-issue-you-do-not-have-sufficient-permissions-to-access-this-page
I’ll test disabling all plugins after business hours. I hope that fixes it. Thanks for all your help. I’ll let you know if it works.
same problem … can’t authorize my account
orbitbob: Have you tried with the latest version (2.5.2) with all other plugins disabled? It seems like we’ve squashed all the bugs except some potential conflicts with other plugins (and no one has said what plugins yet).
I am having the exact same problem. Searched out this forum for help – but it sounds like it’s not fixed. Everything was fine until I upgraded. Went thru the whole process with the consumer key, etc – but now it continually says “You need to authorize your Twitter accounts.”
But it won’t even show the Twitter User name…
Can’t authorize the account.
ragaini: Please make sure to read the forum thread titled “Instructions for Non-Tech ppl for Twitter Authorization Issue” – http://wordpress.org/support/topic/instructions-for-non-tech-ppl-for-twitter-authorization-issue
Perfect – Thank you. I figured it out anyway – was leaving the Callback URL blank. Much appreciated!
I had also left the Callback url blank which was the issue. Thanks.
The Callback url was my issue as well. Glad it’s working.

I just upgraded to the latest version and the issue is finally gone! Thanks.
I can check this as solved.
