    I cannot access my website or the Admin area as it states it’s undergoing scheduled maintenance.

    I managed to log into admin area normally, saw I needed to update plugins, which I did but not the site and admin page is showing just a line at the top with the maintenance message.

    I have latest version of WordPress and JetPack was updated to the new version automatically

    Zero support from JetPack as they are all away at their annual party with not rearguard support in their absence (Not good business sense or continuity shown here)

    Has anyone else had this issue? In essence my business is down

    Site has just come online again

    Must have been just a timing issue with the update, it also seems the 3 plugins that needed updating have not done so. I will leave this for now as I don’t want to go through this again

    Hi Martin! Thanks for the report, and I’m sorry to hear about the trouble. If this happens again in the future, for any plugin update, I’d recommend reinstalling the plugin manually. To do so for Jetpack, you can download the plugin here:
    http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.latest-stable.zip

    Then, log in to your site via FTP, and delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder. You should then be able to reinstall the plugin manually by following the instructions here:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation

    I would strongly recommend that you make a complete backup of your website before trying this.

    It sounds like you were able to get this issue resolved, but if you experience any further trouble, please let me know and we’d be happy to look into it further for you.
