Hi there, I’ve installed the plug in ok but I can’t get the button image right.
First of all I tried to upload my own but I couldn’t find the place you refer to in your instructions anywhere on the console. Now I’ve used one of yours -I’ve tried both code 28072014
and 090820142 but they have both come out red which I definitely don’t want.

Can you help me please. I need this to be a nice colour and the red is not good at all. you can see it at the link given.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

When you say a red image, do you mean while you are offline (not available for chat?)

To upload your own image, login to the chat console and follow this:

Click “get website code” (top left, next to the “new” icon”)
    Click “do it myself”
    Click “floating footer”
    Click Upload.
Choose your online and offline images you have made in .png format.
Select “use my own uploaded image” in the chat settings within wordpress.

    I hope this helps?

Ooooh! Now I see! Thank you. that red is the offline colour. I can see all your other options now, one of those will probably do. Thank you for swift response 🙂 I’ll be sure to rate.

    No problem.

We do have a lovely new version coming soon. Should be nice and easy to use compared and we have overhauled the platform to be just that much better.

    Hope you enjoy.

That will be welcome. I can’t figure out where to put the code. Your instructions say:

    Your chat code is below,

As you chose to use a static / floating “Chat to us” button,
You will need to copy the below code and place this at the end of your on websites HTML code. (Just before the last /body tag at the end of your document)

Does that mean add it to the header (or the footer) or what?

    Hi,

There is no need to add the code manually as you use the wordpress plugin.
If you have uploaded your images and they appear on that list of other images (at the top)

Then simply login to wordpress. Navigate to the Live chat plugin settings and then click “Use my uploaded image” and then click save.

    Hope this helps?

Hi, I kind of changed my mind about using my own image. I picked one of the ones in the console and got the code for it. Because I use a theme with a pagebuilder (X with Cornerstone) I can’t figure out where to put the code. Theme support wanted me to do it through functions.php with a theme hook but I couldn’t get it to work.

Might be better to make my own I guess and do it that way then. The main thing I want to lose is the red colour of the offline button/tab which really doesn’t look good on my site’s colour scheme.

    Hi,

You can hide the red button when not online if that helps?

    From within the chat console.
    – Click Chat button and user settings.
    – Click “Offline Button Settings”
    – Click Make the live chat button invisible when offline?
    – Click save (normally under the setting or at the bottom of the page)

Good idea! thanks for that, it will do till I have a bit more time to think about this and make a button, right now I’m looking for least stress solution.
