If you are using YouTube videos then unfortunately it will not be possible to remove.
The videos that I’m using are my own and looking more in to it I found were the player comes from wp-includes/js/mediaelement but what do I need remove to in the code for the play/pause button to be gone. Thanks

Please make sure that you are using our player, since we do not have the Play button displaying over the video, unless that’s paused, and even in that case the play button disappears and doesn’t stay still.
You are correct, the video has a link at the end to go to a website and will not work because of the pause button. Is there any to remove the pause button?

I want the movie to play without a black background and not to show the play/pause control in the middle or any adverts. Currently I paid for Vimeo to host the movie as I do not want to slow the site down. However this prevented me from being able to get it to work the way we want. Can you advise if this is possible with this plug in? or a wp plug in that will help wit this. sorry I am just who else to ask?
