I’m afraid, I’m not sure what you meant by backup images. The free version of Smush doesn’t have an option to backup images, only the Pro version have such a feature.
Could you please explain further about what you meant by backup images and where you are noticing the issue so that we could have a better idea?

yes, it is a presales question based on what i saw on a WP installtion with Pro. There is a option to handle the original image file when you run a bulk smush.
I would like to know where these files are stored. With Imagify it was local which i would like to have. I dont find informations about how Smush Pro does it.
Please also be so kind and let me know on how single images have theire backup and where it is stored.

In these forums, we only support questions regarding a free version of the plugin. To answer your question, the backup file from images are stored in the same folder as an original image, in the uploads directory.
