Hello @thelearnedone
I hope you’re well today and thank you for you question!
There were some issues in the past with Aweber integration on PHP 7 powered sites but that was quite some time ago and has already been fixed so that must be a different issue – either something that’s new or something specific o the site.
Is it happening for you from the start since you’ve set this integration up or was it working fine before and only started to happen at some point (e.g. after Hustle or other plugin update or after some changes on site)?
Is there any server-side cache active for site, especially any object cache, and if so, could it be temporarily disabled just to test if it affects the issue?
Are there any errors/messages on Aweber end related to these disconnections?
Best regards,
Adam
Hi again @thelearnedone
There’s also another thing that’s worth checking (I got this suggestion from our developers). The plugin is using cronjob to refresh Aweber authtoken every hour so it’s possible that this fails.
You can use a plugin such as WP Crontrol to check cron schedules and scheduled events to see if they are running fine so could you please check the “hustle_aweber_token_refresh” cronjob?
WP Crontrol plugin would give you information about if it’s scheduled and when it was last run and when should next expected execution happen.
Best regards,
Adam
Hello Adam,
Thank you for your reply and for the suggestions. Here are some of the things that I tried. Also including my replies to your inquiries.
1. This issue has been happening from the start.
2. No errors on aWeber’s side.
3. I had some caching running across the site; page caching, browser caching etc.. I have disabled all of those and will run another test tomorrow. As far as server caching, there isn’t any enabled on my sites (according to my hosting company).
4. Today, I upgraded my PHP to the latest version that my host provides, v7.4.
5. I installed WP Control and saw the following for the “hustle_aweber_token_refresh”.
Hook: hustle_aweber_token_refresh
Arguments: None
Next Run: 2020-07-27 14:26:11 44 minutes 37 seconds
Action: !None
Recurrence: Once Hourly
The Action column has a big exclamation mark next to it, not sure if this is normal, broken or if it is functioning as intended?
Anyhow, I did click the “run now” button within WP control to see if I could break the integration, but after doing so the integration seemed to still be fine.
Please let me know if any other suggestions?
Thank you,
TheLearnedOne
Hi @thelearnedone,
In order to keep the integration running the cron job needs to be running properly so it’s possible that this is indeed the issue here.
If your site has low number of visitors it’s possible that the cron jobs are not getting fired up at proper times and causes the connection to stop.
Can you ask your hosting provider to replace WP Cron with Real Cron Job and see if the issue is gone after that?
Cheers,
Predrag
Hello Predrag,
I have a client with the same issue. I had Real Cron Jobs turned on at the server level and the problem still persists? The page I am having a problem with is https://mychipcarving.com/home-landing-page/
Hello @aimdoll
I hope you’re well today!
I understand that the issue seems to be the same but, as per this forum rules, would you start a separate ticket of your own, please?
We’ll assist you there to help you solve the issue.
Kind regards,
Adam
Hello there @thelearnedone
It’s been a while since we’ve heard back from you so I’m going to mark this topic as resolved. You can still post back any updates and we can continue.
Take care,
