• Hi,

i’ve been trying to activate the Yoast Google Analytics plugin on my website.

I’ve followed the instructions and and do not seem to be able to add my google UA verification code. I click add, copy and paste the code in when it loads up again I still need to verify my analytics account.

I’ve tried this about 5 times now, the code i enter just wont stick to the plugin. Anybody got a suggestion?

    Thanks

    Phil

  • Hi, We had previously installed the Insight plugin – the reports are not working from past few days. Is it related to the use of plugin in free version?
The same problem as mentioned in the thread continues even now. Can you please help?

Hi, I have problem with GA by Joast (now GA by Monsterinsights) it is keep answering me ¨We need you to authenticate with Google Analytics to use this functionality….¨ and ¨configure your GA settings¨. I copy and paste and save the authorization code on Friday, and it’s stil not working, today is the fourth day since authorization. What can be wrong?

We get a 404 error when trying to authenticate with GA. Can only put the code in manually.

The solution to my problem was mod_security. I found a couple of other posts mentioning this and asked my host to relax the rules.

I just installed this plugin tonight, I entered my UA code, and it saved it. But its still saying what everyone else here is seeing. That I need to authenticate with google analytics first.

When I try to re-enter my UA code, it says “Not saved, because no change to settings”. Meaning it already has my code in there.

    First off:

    1) If someone successfully enters their code you should be displaying it on the page afterwards, not just have it disappear into the ether.

    2) Are you aware that your anchor links on that settings page don’t even work? you click the tabs at the top and they dont scroll you down the page to the various sections.

    3) Please let us all know the answer to this main problem.

    Hi,

Same problem as WP Burger. Please let us know what to do.

    Hi there,
If you’re getting a 404 error, try asking your host to check for mod_security rule conflicts.

If the panel isn’t saving, and instead saying there is nothing to save, try installing the plugin Core Control, and going to Tools->Core Control, check the box for Remote HTTP Access, and then save. Once the page refreshes, at the top of the page, click on the URL for Remote HTTP Access. A page will show that will let you test the HTTP transport layers WordPress has detected for your site. Click on the “Test Transport” link next to cURL.

If this fails, click on the one next to streams. If only cURL fails, ask your host to upgrade your cURL version as you’re probably behind the latest version. If both cURL and stream fail, ask your host to fix your website’s firewall settings, as your hosting provider is blocking legitimate outbound calls via wp_remote_get/post.
