Audio player disappeared after theme upgrade

    I upgraded our theme from “atahualpa” to “Hueman” and the powerpress player just stopped working and stopped appearing in posts. The posts look the same as they always did but there is just no audio player and no option to download the track. It’s just gone. I tried deleting the podcast, saving post, adding podcast and saving post with no luck.

    Do you have any idea what’s going wrong here?

    As I continued reading support threads I learned about “Yes, please fix” and “Yes, alternate fix”. Both of those work, sort of. The only issue is that this puts the audio player below the social media sharing buttons (Monarch Plugin) instead of below the content and above the social sharing buttons.

    Some audio player is better than none but it would be nice if it displayed in the right place.

    Can I set the set the plugin to not show the player and then manually embed it somehow?

    I have the latest version of wordpress and Blubrry.

    Try manually inserting the PowerPress shortcode into your posts where you’d like the player to show up and see if that solves the problem.

    The new theme may also be using the_excerpt rather than the_content. You can enable/disable that option in the PowerPress settings > appearance tab as well as try to fix options.
