Assign User Role on User Registration

    Hello @adispiac,

    Thank you for this contribution to the WP community.

    I’m looking for a simple solution to a problem I’m having with my multisite.

    I’m using the standard buddypress registration form and I’m using user-role-editor-pro but when a new user joins the site it’s not assigning them the ‘subscriber’ default user-role.

    I see your plugin does this and I already have stable solutions in place for everything your plugin is offering.

    All I want to find is a simple command I can add to my existing registration form that will ensure the user is assigned a default role on the network site.

    Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

    Hi,
    That’s strange, by default any registration process should assign the users the default WP role, subscriber.

    You can use our plugin just for registering and assigning a specific user role at registration using the shortcode:
    [wppb-register role='desired_role']
