Appending variation identifier to description

    I’m looking for a way to set the variation description to the parent product short description, followed by ” – ” and the variation attributes, e.g. “White Cool & Cold Taps”. Is this possible?

    If not, can this be a request to make it possible?

    Hi @galbaras ,

    I don’t quite get that request can you please provide further information? Do you mean something like

    parent description – short description for all products?

    parent description = Lorem, Short description = Ipsum.

    Output for all products = Lorem – Ipsum?

    Almost.

    Let’s say I have a water cooler product with 2 attributes: taps (Cool & Cold, Hot & Cold) and colour (Black, White). I don’t set individual variation descriptions, so those are empty, but the parent product description is “Prestige spring water cooler. Ideal for your home or office”.

    When adding the Black Cool & Cold variation, I want the description to be “Prestige spring water cooler. Ideal for your home or office – Black, Cool & Cold” to ensure its uniqueness.

    Alternatively (maybe better), it can be “Prestige spring water cooler. Ideal for your home or office – Colour: Black, Taps: Cool & Cold”.
