Getting a completely blank screen on Post & Page editor.

    Console reports:

Block with API version 2 or lower is deprecated since version 6.9. Note: The block aioseo/breadcrumbs is registered with API version 1.
This means that the post editor may work as a non-iframe editor. Since all editors are planned to work as iframes in the future, set the apiVersion field to 3 and test the block inside the iframe editor.

Block with API version 2 or lower is deprecated since version 6.9. Note: The block aioseo/table-of-contents is registered with API version 1.

Block with API version 2 or lower is deprecated since version 6.9. Note: The block aioseo/faq is registered with API version 1.

Block with API version 2 or lower is deprecated since version 6.9. Note: The block aioseo/key-points is registered with API version 1.

Block with API version 2 or lower is deprecated since version 6.9. Note: The block aioseo/ai-assistant is registered with API version 1.

Block with API version 2 or lower is deprecated since version 6.9. Note: The block aioseo/recipe is registered with API version 1.

Block with API version 2 or lower is deprecated since version 6.9. Note: The block aioseo/product is registered with API version 1.

    Hi @omnipolar ,

Thanks for including the console output, it helps a lot. Those “API version” messages are warnings WordPress 6.9 shows for blocks that still use the old block API. We updated all of our blocks to block API version 3 in version 5.0.0, and the older block versions are known to break the editor on newer WordPress releases.

Could you let us know which version of All in One SEO you’re running? Since you haven’t shared your site URL, we can’t check this on our end, but those warnings usually mean the site is on a version older than 5.0.0.

If that’s the case, please update All in One SEO to the latest version from your Plugins screen, then clear your caching plugin if you use one and do a hard refresh in the editor (Ctrl+F5, or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac). That should bring the editor back.

If you’re already on the latest version, or the editor is still blank after updating, could you share some more details so we can dig deeper?

    • Your website URL
    • Your WordPress version
    • Where exactly you see the blank screen (posts, pages, or both, and whether a specific post is affected)
    • A screenshot or screencast of the full browser console when the blank screen appears, including any red error lines (the messages you posted are warnings only). You can upload it to a free service like https://snipboard.io and share the link here.

One note: your console mentions the Recipe and Product blocks, which are part of All in One SEO Pro. If you’re using AIOSEO Pro, you’ll need to contact us at https://aioseo.com/contact/

The guidelines for these forums state that we shouldn’t post about commercial products here: https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#do-not-post-about-commercial-products

    Thanks!

    Hi @omnipolar ,

We haven’t heard back from you in a couple of days. I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
    Thanks!
