• When using Site Kit and connected to AdSense, do I need to use the Ads.Txt Manager plugin for AdSense to work properly?

When the the plugin is deactivated I get a “Earnings at risk – You need to fix some ads.txt file issues to avoid severe impact to your revenue. Fix Now” warning from AdSense.
On my Site Kit AdSense connection it says:
    Publisher ID pub-4505010852908776Site Status

Your site is ready for ads. View sitein AdSenseAccount Status. Your site is ready for adsAdSense Code. The AdSense code has been placed on your site

Do I need the Ads.txt plugin in conjunction with my Site Kit Settings/

    Thank you,

    Lewis

Thanks for reaching out @devin104. While we’re limited to Site Kit support here in the forums, from reviewing your site it looks like you do have a valid ads.txt file placed. You may want to confirmed that the publisher ID within your Ads.txt file matches your current AdSense publisher ID. I did perform a quick check on your site and I can see it does seem to reference your correct publisher ID. Regardless of the warning displayed, not having an ads.txt file at present doesn’t impact any ads being served.

Note also that you did already ads an ads.txt file to your site, it may take some time for the AdSense team to check this ads.txt file and update your status. It’s possible you already do have a valid ads.txt file placed. For this reason I suspect you can safely disregard this message, while also reaching out to the product experts over at the AdSense Help Center.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you!
