    Hi,

The “Admin Menu Toolbar” item doesn’t load.

I tested in 2 installations and verified it is (or seems to be) a conflict with the plugin Elementor.

Considering Elementor adds items on WP’s admin menu toolbar and considering there are other threads about this issue (and reports of no Elementor use), i suppose the issue is the way this plugin is handling non-default Admin Menu Toolbar items.

My “solution” for now is to not use that setting on my websites.

I’m simply reporting, but if this is eventually resolved, that’d be nice.

Also, if you can’t replicate the issue, let me know! I may poke around some more.

    Kind regards.

    Hi @talesg,

Does it work when Elementor is deactivated?

    Thanks,

Correct, it works (loads fast) when Elementor is deactivated. If Elementor is activated, it stays forever loading. I tested on a third environment and was able to replicate the issue.

    Hi @talesg,

Unfortunately, I can’t repeat the issue on my end with Elementor. Thanks,

    Right, i understand.

I tried in a 4th environment right now and replicated the issue again.

This time i tried on a fresh WP install from https://wpsandbox.net with only Elementor and WP Custom Admin Interface.

However, in this case it didn’t worked even with Elementor disabled.

The wpsandbox.net install has a custom item on the admin toolbar that shows when the website will expire.

Which i think indicates where the conflict is: custom admin toolbar items from some plugins, such as Elementor.

    Hi @talesg,

I can repeat the issue on that sandbox, but I can’t repeat it locally with the same version of WordPress. I can’t see any errors in the console either in that sandbox site. Generally the plugin will work fine with toolbar items created by 3rd parties, however if the plugin or theme in question manipulates the toolbar in an unusual way we can’t guarantee compatibility. You may also wish to check out the pro version which can provide support for your specific WordPress environment, and for this particular feature it comes with a money back guarantee.

    Thanks,

    Hi @northernbeacheswebsites,

That’s ok, might be a tricky issue.
    Thanks for your time!

Hello, just want to notify whomever may read that, at this moment, this is no longer an issue. Elementor went through multiple updates recently (currently is at 3.0.8.1), and i suppose some update affected this issue.

The Admin Toolbar setting works as intended. All is well.
