Admin approval e-mail not being sent and…
-
Hello,
I have FEUP installed in 2 different websites, and they both work fine (great plugin!!).
But on both installs I have these 2 issues:
1- Admin approval e-mail is not being sent:
Although it is configured correctly at the “Options -> Premium” tab (E-mail on Admin Approval is set to YES), new users are not receiving this e-mail when I approve them. I’m using SMTP mail, and all other e-mails are being sent ok. Please assist.2- Where do I customize the “Renew Password” e-mail message that is being sent to a user, when one tries to reset it?
Once again, this is a great plugin. Thank you!

Hi Peticris,
1. Do you also have content in the “New Registration Email to Admin” box in the “Emails” tab? If so, and you still aren’t receiving the admin email, then there may indeed be an incorrect setting in your SMTP mail settings. Could you send us a screenshot of what you have for these settings to contact@etoilewebdesign.com? (Please block out any passwords you don’t want us to see.)
2. Unfortunately, there is currently no option to customize the text of the password reset email. The only way to do it would be directly in the plugin code. This is found in the “Process_Front_End_Forms.php” file in the “Functions” folder.
Hello,
Yes, I have content in the “New Registration Email to Admin” and it also works fine. The only email that does not get sent is the Admin Approval (new users doens’ receive the “You are Approved” e-mail). All other e-mails are working.
Hi Peticris,
Do you have “Email on Admin Approval” set to “Yes” in the “Premium” area of the “Options” tab?
Did you make sure that what you put for the “Email Field Name” in the “Emails” tab matches exactly the name of your email field as it shows in the “Fields” tab?
As form the unnecessary duplicated thread:
“Username is Email” was already enabled, and “Send Sign Up Emails” was also set to “Yes”… The curious thing is that the “Registration Message” email is being sent ok, only the “Admin approval message” email that’s not being sent. When a new user registers, he receives the registration e-mail with no issues. But as I approve his registration, the Admin approval e-mail is not being sent. And regarding your last reply on this topic:
Yes, “Email on Admin Approval” set to “Yes” in the “Premium” area of the “Options” tab.
“Email Field Name” in the “Emails” tab is blank, because “Username is Email” on the “Options” tab IS set to “Yes”.
This is happening on both sites I have FEUP installed.
Could you let us know what you have in the “Admin Approval Message Body” field in the “Emails” tab?
Also, could you provide us with the link to your site where we can register for an account?
This is what I have in the “Admin Approval Message Body” field:

Hi Peticris,
Thank you for that. We’ve registered an account. Let us know once you approve it and we’ll check to see if we get the email or not.
For the content of your “Admin Approval Message Body” field, could you try just putting in something basic, like one word, to see if it makes a difference?
Hi,
You’re approved. I’ve just did it.
I’m in the middle of a product launch. As soon as it’s finished (next sunday) I’ll try something basic for the “Admin Approval Message Boby”.
I second this problem. Everything here I tried and does not work.
Also not receiving the email conformation email.
Hi Rick,
Is it just the email that is supposed to go to the user when they are admin approved that isn’t sending for you? All other emails are sending?
Hi EtoileWebDesign,
Have you received “Admin’s Approval Message”?
Hi Peticris,
I just double checked and it doesn’t look like we did. Have you been able to try something basic in the message body, to see if it makes any difference?
Same exact problem.
Admin approval e-mail not being sent. Everything else is. Also tried putting “approved” in message body and no dice.

Hi Rick,
Just to make sure, you are talking about the email that is supposed to go to the user when they are approved by the admin, right? There is no email sent to the admin for this. There is also no email sent to a user when you set “Email Confirmed” to “Yes” for them.
If this is indeed what you are talking about, and it isn’t working correctly on your end, then can you please double check to make sure you have the “Email on Admin Approval” setting set to “Yes”?
If it still isn’t working, then there may indeed be an incorrect setting in your SMTP mail settings. Could you send us a screenshot of what you have for these settings to contact@etoilewebdesign.com? (Please block out any passwords you don’t want us to see.)
It’s the same problem as the original poster…
