Hey Miriam,
Replyable requires all users to double opt-in to subscriptions. Doing anything less is usually in violation of spam laws.
You can encourage subscriptions by making the join the conversation checkbox checked by default, but you very well might upset your users.

I’m not sure what you mean. By default Replyable invites all readers to join the conversation via your comments section. Can you tell me more about what you are looking for?
Sure. For example
I have a post.
A comment was made to this post.
There is a group of 5-6 people who needs to be notified about this comment.
If I understand it correctly, in order for a person to become a subscriber (receive email notifications) he/she needs to make a comment; correct?
Is there an option to send an email invitation to a person to become a subscriber without the need to comment or visit the post?
Thank you
Miriam
No, not at all. I see where that could work for your community, but for most sites this would quickly be abused and turned into a spam spewing mess. We stick to a strict standard of letting the visitor choose to be emailed by a site. That said, this is probably best done by hand….
