Adding image problem Help!

When adding a product if I do not set a featured image at the top left of the page it says no image in text, If I set the featured image it shows 2 images at the top of the page. When adding a image with the add image feature along with a description it shows the image correctly although then it shows 3 images the 2 at the top left and the image I add with the add image feature, the only way to correct this is to remove the featured image but then left with the no image text to the left of the top of page. I have tried all setting I could find with no luck not sure what I’m doing wrong.
